Caving Permits
Do you know the title of this book?
When I was in junior high school (a long time ago), we were reading a book and then a parent complained and the school caved, so we were not permitted to finish it. I was really enjoying it, and would like to read it now if only I knew the title.
Here’s the basic plot: it’s a take on the biblical Job story in which God and Satan are putting a man through some tests; however, as I remember it, it is told as if God and Satan are backstage in a theatre and Job is on stage responding to their directions. Again, this was a long time ago, so I may not have it exactly right. Any help will be appreciated–thanks!
Because it was a long time ago, I suppose it could have been a circus though I remember it as a theatre.
